2. Schedule the procedure immediately - no intake - only intermediate step

In many other clinics and hospitals, the process takes place in two separate steps: first a mandatory intake appointment, and only then - after waiting again - the actual procedure. This works differently at De Herenkliniek.

When you make an appointment, you immediately schedule the vasectomy yourself. The medical intake takes place prior to the procedure: by phone or via a short questionnaire. Upon arrival at the clinic, you are therefore already fully prepared and the doctor can start immediately. You usually leave within 45 minutes of arrival.

3. Sterilization possible within 10 days

Thanks to our direct booking process and multiple locations - in Hilversum and Rotterdam - we can in most cases help you within 10 days. A telephone consultation with a doctor is possible within 7 days, for those who still have questions before the procedure.

That is not a marketing promise, but the way our schedule is organized: we consciously reserve available time slots for men who want to be helped quickly.

How does the process work at De Herenkliniek?

To give you a good idea, we have listed the steps:

• Step 1 - Online booking: You choose a date and time via our website. This takes less than a minute.

• Step 2 - Preparation: you will receive clear instructions about preparing for the procedure and an intake link by email.

• Step 3 - Optional telephone consultation: do you have any questions? Then schedule a short meeting with one of our doctors.

• Step 4 - Telephone intake interview

• Step 5 - The procedure: you come to the clinic in Hilversum or Rotterdam. The doctor will briefly discuss the procedure with you, after which the procedure will take place. Duration: 15 to 30 minutes.

• Step 6 - Aftercare: You will receive written aftercare instructions. After 12 weeks, you will perform a sperm check with one of our lab partners of your choice.

What does a vasectomy cost at De Herenkliniek?

The all-in price for a vasectomy at De Herenkliniek is €539, including VAT. This rate includes the medical intake, the procedure and the aftercare. A vasectomy is not covered by the basic insurance, but the costs are comparable to or lower than hospital rates for the same procedure - without the associated waiting period.

The sperm check after 12 weeks is not included and costs between €50 and €60, depending on the laboratory.
